Before Rhizogen was founded, there were companies selling organic fertilizer, and there were companies selling microbiological enhancers, but no one had put the two together. Our “aha moment” came many years ago, when we realized we could create the biggest impact on soil health if we made a product that delivered nutrients and beneficial microbes in one.
We knew we had something unique and original, so we filed for and received a patent on our product. We continued to innovate and continued to file, and were rewarded with a second and third patent. After many years of researching, developing and perfecting our products, Rhizogen was officially founded in 2007.
Admittedly, we’re perfectionists. We didn’t want to trust anyone else to make our products for us. So in 2008, we had a 53,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility built in Texas entirely to our specifications. Many of our products are certified by OMRI and WSDA for use in organic production. Our facility is one of the largest plants in the country, with an output of 35,000 tons per year.
